Content update policy

What our dates mean

• Published — the date the page first went live.
• Updated — the date the content of the page was genuinely changed. It is only shown when a real, recorded edit has happened after publication.
• Reviewed — the date a named contributor last checked the page, shown only where that review actually took place.

We do not print today's date as an update date, and we do not re-date pages that have not changed.

Review frequency

• Event listings — refreshed continuously through the season as venues and promoters publish and change dates.
• Venue pages — opening months, address and practical details reviewed before and during each season.
• Seasonal guides — reviewed at least once per season, and whenever an underlying fact changes.
• Evergreen guides — reviewed when related facts change, or when a reader reports an issue.

Retiring content

Pages for past seasons are kept where they still have value and are clearly dated. Where a page is replaced by a newer one, the old URL redirects rather than breaking. Cancelled events keep their page with a cancelled status.
